Review of Empire State (2013) by Scott M — 30 Aug 2013

A pretty solid crime drama that's based on a true story. It's the first Liam Hemsworth movie that I've seen that he was actually good in. The Rock while seemingly out of place and not in it a whole lot, did a decent job.

Same goes to Emma Roberts. I really dug the story overall, it's got a little Goodfellas vibe to it. There was a few things that bothered me with the plot details but none ruined the film. It's a shame that this isn't getting a theatrical release because it's better than most of the sh** out there this summer.

Definitely go out your way and at least see it.
