I guess you can't say this is a bad film.
It's not bad. It's just too slow and too long.
I like movies in which wars are seen from another point of view. Not through the soldiers, not through the people fighting them, but from the ones that are not in the middle and still suffer the consequences. In this case, the victim through which it's focused is a little boy, which happens to be one of today's best young actors: Christian Bale.
