Review of Emperor (2012) by Marianne V — 14 Apr 2013
Am really surprised this movie didn't get more favorable reviews. As a Filipina who knows her World War II history, it was fascinating to see this period of time (supposedly the 10 days MacArthur gave General Feller to investigate the Emperor's culpability in World War II) dramatized.
Every single actor, you could see, was fully vested in their roles. OK, so maybe the love story was a bit contrived. I found it moving, what can I say?
