Review of Emperor (2012) by Jay M — 04 Feb 2016
I thought this was a fairly decent drama set after the Japanese surrender at the end of the Second World War as General MacArthur tasks one man to investigate the government and military officials who were responsible for the attack on Pearl Harbour and ultimately to discover whether the Emperor of Japan himself should stand trial for war crimes.
It's made more interesting because the 2 central characters also have their own agendas, General MacArthur's bid for presidency and Bonner Fellers search for the woman he loved before war broke out between their 2 nations.
Both leads do a decent job, well worth watching if you have an interest in the era.
