Australian Director Baz Luhrmann ("Moulin Rouge") returns with his latest film, the biopic, ELVIS, a 2 1/2 hour runtime that moves at lightning speed. Newcomer Austin Butler is tremendous channeling The King of Rock & Roll, captures Elvis' spirit, essence, moves, voice, vocal talents (Austin sings the songs himself as Young Elvis), ambitions, flaws & innocence.
Over-the-top caricature performance from Tom Hanks as Colonel Tom Parker. 2nd half of film Vegas years captivates, transports you back to the time & place that made Elvis an Icon.
