Review of Elle (2016) by Moviemitch96 — 15 Jan 2017
First and foremost, Isabelle Huppert's bold, tour de force performance in this film is the sole reason to check it out. She's really never been quite better. The rest of the film felt somewhat scattered and dragged out and the film's content and story became a bit too aberrant and even somewhat ridiculous in the second half for my tastes.
Overall, despite the story just being average in my opinion, it's a fine film that's worth checking out for the most part due to a career-best performance from Huppert.
