Review of Elizabeth: The Golden Age (2007) by Sandra D — 30 Jan 2009
I suppose this was somewhat of a pointless sequel, but it was good to see Cate Blanchett as Elizabth again, giving another great performace. Clive Owen was ok as Raleigh , while Geoffery Rush gave another good performace.
This film focuses upon the Spanish Armada along with Elizabeth's relationship with Raleigh. The costumes as before are great and the cinematography is really good too. One particularly good scene was the storm scene during the sea battle.
This film is certainly worth watching if you've seen the first one.
