Review of Elizabeth: The Golden Age (2007) by Dan B — 22 Sep 2009
Blanchett makes a beautiful Elizabeth. The film makes shows this well-known historical character as a human being with humane feelings and fears. Selfishness, vanity, hunger for love... Interesting to see this point of view, although I'd sure like to know how much of it is based on reality or just made up for entertainment's sake.
A bit too hollywood-y, but watchable.
