A visually stunning disappointment. This film should only have been released if it was of the same quality as the first film. The first film, Elizabeth, was phenomenal in every regard. Elizabeth: The Golden Age therefore had high expectations to live up to.
Cate Blanchett is an excellent actress but the script, plot and other elements let her and the rest of the cast down. Perhaps the motivation behind making this film was mainly cashing in on the success of "Elizabeth".
