Review of Elizabeth Blue (2017) by Shannon D — 25 Sep 2017

I had the opportunity to see Elizabeth Blue at a screening, and I have to say that it was a truly beautiful film. I have many friends who suffer from mental illness and this gave me an idea of the torment that they go through. The line that most affected me was when Elizabeth says she is tired. My friends who also suffer all agreed, that line says it all. They also told me that this film is teh best movie they have seen that truly explains what they go through.

Ithought the pacing was thoughtful and allowed the viewer to really become saturated with the life of someone suffering from mental illness. Anna Schafer does a brilliant job in the role of Elizabeth.

If you're looking for something without explosions and special effects that has a truly important message, Elizabeth Blue is what you're looking for, especially if there is at least one person in your life who has some sort of mental struggle.
