Review of Elizabeth Blue (2017) by Joy H — 02 Nov 2017
I saw Elizabeth Blue yesterday at a SAG-AFTRA Foundation screening.
Let me begin by saying the performances in this film are sensational. Adewale from the television show Lost is so warm as a psychiatrist. I had forgotten how fantastic Kathleen Quinlan is. Where has she been?
The standout was the lead actress Anna Schafer who puts a normal everyday face on mental illness. Her performance is not to be missed. Her Q&A afterwards was so heartfelt I cried.
The directing of this film, cinematography, editing and producing make this film a masterpiece. I am still thinking about. Well deserved all around. Congratulations!.
I just don't understand critics. Listen to the audiences reviews on this one, you won't be disappointed.
