Review of Elite Squad (2007) by Al N — 21 Oct 2010
I have to be honest and provide two opinions regarding this movie.
This movie reflects exactly the moment that people from Rio de Janeiro is facing and can't tolerate anymore drug dealers and/or addicted people who supports this kind of activity (drug traffic).
The violence viewed on the movie just shows a fraction what really happens in Rio covered by the beautyfull natural scenario where rio is located.
To people from Rio this movie can be understood as something based on real facts and thats the reason that I like so much this movie (i'm from rio).
In another hand the director was not able to translate it to international audiencie what makes hard to be understood from someone out of rio de janeiro.
In general this is a good movie but with violence marks. I don't think that should be viewed by kids, but extremely suggested to teenagers in order to them understand that a simple "join" supports finnancially the problem with drugs and drug dearls and related effects.
Ps: Sorry for errors in my grammar/english.
