How this one goes down will depend on how you watch it. As a semi-documentary about the drug war raging in Brazilian backstreets, where entire neighbourhoods are unsafe even for the police, it works. View it as that, and the movie is easily an 8/10.
Looking for a brutal action flick and "Elite Squad" sounded like it? You might come out with a 5 or 6/10.
