A terrific story that actually has the ability to provide some thrills along the way, an all too rare commodity these days.

Capt. Nascimento is a great guide into the toxic world that this story is set in, filled with corrupt cops and criminals alike, the makers immerse you into this world and it becomes an engrossing watch almost immediately. The characters both good and bad are well defined and they are played with a real conviction.

Overall, this film sits nicely alongside films like City of god which is pretty good company to be in....
