This was terrible, and going in I liked the idea of Hounsou carrying a Thai action flick with Bacon. But the sniping scenes are implausible, the Buddhist imagery seems insulting, and the supernatural element incredibly forced and awful.
Pinkaew repeats himself, with urban chase sequences, sex slavery, elephant imagery, the fallen hero's spiritual comeback montage, etc. - all done better before with less expense and more raw talent being captured.
