Review of Elephant (2010) by Mott S — 01 Feb 2014
The first half of the movie was spent creating a graceful atmosphere that the second half tore to shreds. I was able to immerse myself in the film even though the people around me were complaining that "1/3 of the film is walking.
" I can't blame them though, a third of the film is walking. The ameturic acting provided horribly shallow character depth, which shrivels any emotional attachment the audience may have otherwise had.
I dunno, I was able to look past it.
