Review of A Serbian Film (2010) by Mott S — 19 Mar 2014
I watched "A Serbian Film" with no knowledge that it was an allegorical piece, and I loved it. The deeper meaning is ostentatious and is best disregarded. The direction was beautiful and on a par with many art house films I've seen.
It was graphic and horribly disturbing, but in all fairness it's supposed to be graphic and horribly disturbing. Past the gruesome shock tactics, the story was surprisingly well put together and enjoyable.
The film's finale is one of the most unforgettable endings I've ever seen. However, it's certainly no "National Treasure 2.".
