Review of Electroma (2006) by Jonathan K — 27 Sep 2008
I had no idea what to expect when I sat down to watch this. What I got was a simple yet great art film that was strangely moving and haunting. Certain aspects reminded me of Jodorowsky's Holy Mountain and Teshigahara's Face of Another, but not to the point of lacking originality.
This is definitely not a film for everyone, but if you enjoy film as an art form, it's worth checking out. The one odd thing about the film is that Daft Punk did not include any of their own music (not even an original score by themselves) in the film.
