Review of Electroma (2006) by David C — 13 Dec 2008
Daft Punk go all experimental on us fans and release this space oddity, shaped by silence, beautiful cinematography, a few odd 1970s tunes and influenced by the likes of the New Wave of French Cinema, Stanley Kubrick, David Lynch (to a lesser extent) and most importantly, their own perception of themselves and of their music, of which nary a note is heard from in this film.
If you ask moi, though, it's worth seeing at least once, not least because it is so delectably bizarre...
