I liked this a lot up until the end, which I did not think fit the rest of the movie. I could not understand the motives behind some of the decisions made by the characters, nor what the movie ultimately wants to say.
I can imagine it's meant to be a discussion-piece as you can take your pick as to whom you can relate to but when no character is really likeable it all just feels random. Having said this I did enjoy the dark humour and the small bits of unexpected nastiness that popped up here and there; and the acting was great, especially from Witherspoon.
It might also benefit from a second viewing.
