Review of Election (1999) by Alisha . — 17 Dec 2008
When I saw this in 1999, I was a senior in High School with some interesting circumstances surrounding my school. I related to it and it's insightful teenage sarcasm. However as I watch it later, I still see an intellegent, observant and funny satire on politics and it's social commentary on Human Nature and what seemingly small and innocent events can create personal grudges can play a role to the set-up in the movie. It also has an idea of the student groups/cliques, much like what demographics and groups politians pander to to get elected. I would try to provide more of a synopsis but that would give away too many of the intriguing points of the film so I'd rather you watch the movie and see what I mean.
You want entertainment and a great laughs,.
