Review of Election (1999) by Anna B — 21 May 2014
I can understand Payne's detractors (he really does seem to have pretty serious contempt for his characters, and clearly revels in meting out punishment for their transgressions), but this really worked for me as a comedy.
Payne can write a joke like nobody's business and had me laughing the whole way through. And Tammy is awesome.
