Review of El Topo (1970) by Bobby W — 12 Aug 2008
Not the masterpiece it has been portrayed as, but crammed with memorably visceral and surreal imagery and as such worth a watch if you're not easily shocked. Plays a little like Michaelangelo Antonioni meeting Sergio Leone and an ill-tempered Russ Meyer at bible camp.
