Review of El Topo (1970) by James R — 09 Aug 2009
Highly experimental and artistic; a hodgepodge of issues are raised yet it lets the viewer interact in what the message is. That is to say it's not the kind of bullshit artistic movie that explains it's point directly or concedes to subjectivism.
Some very interesting experiments I noticed with the sound effects: for example, the sheep seem to have been voiced with human voice actors, while a human looking woman seems to have been voiced by a recorded animal, (not sure wtf it was).
