Review of El Topo (1970) by Daniel O — 18 Feb 2010
I've seen some bizarre films in my time, but this is one of the strangest. Good viewing for anyone that likes weirdness. A "western" unlike any you've ever seen. :) This symbolic (and rather violent) masterpiece, reveals the seedy underside of human behavior, in a "wild west" setting.
Sort of a combination between an old kung fu movie, blazing saddles, and a tarantino film. Truly a fun viewing experience.
