Review of El Norte (1983) by Scott R — 08 Nov 2017
An incredibly topical digestion of the undocumented immigrant debate, that poignantly, however with a certain bluntness, shows you what's happening and, while I won't inject my opinion, the human side painfully overlooked.
And this is simply icing on the cake for what is a brilliant example of deconstructionist, visual filmmaking, with fantastic editing and exceptional direction by Gregory Nava.
