Review of El Cantante (2006) by Zenaida V — 03 Aug 2007
OH MY GOD!!! This movie was so good! I saw it last night with my mom & dad in Orlando, Florida at the Universal Cineplex 20 and they had to play it in 3 screening rooms at once for the 10:30PM show. All three full rooms could be heard from the hall clapping, screaming and cheering at the end and we all came pouring out of the screaning rooms still clapping and cheering, smiling at each other and some with tears in their eyes. It was an experience to say the very least. I've never been to a movie wear people clapped at the end and with so much love and appreciation at the end. I will most definately watch it again and I will be first in line to buy it on DVD too! I totally recommend it to everyone and especially my fellow music lovers and Hispanic brothers and sisters! I fully expect that it will and should be nominated for a few Oscars and Lord do Marc and Jennifer both really deserve one for their brilliant performances. I just can't believe how great they both were in this. I was blown away. Such a serious story but done with class and some sprinkled laughter throughout! It was just right and I can't say enough about it. You have to see!!
Go watch this, it doesn't disappoint!
