Review of Ek Tha Tiger (2012) by Srini I — 19 Aug 2012
A movie that is worth watching again. Stunning visuals, slick actions throughout, fast paced and riveting narrative, and subdued and not so larger-than-life acting by Salman Khan and other actors such as Girish Karnad, Ranveer Shorey. This movie is worth a watch again, surely a collectors item for me. Considering Salman's last two movies Bodyguard and Ready were tedious and ridiculous, this one is a good redeemer.
Kabir Khan who's stunning visuals in Kabul Express really impressed me, once again proves his mettle right from frame one. Starting the movie with an animated poster is a first one - to repeat myself - with beautiful visual backdrop of Iraq.
The story never loses its pace even in those emotional scene where usually Bollywood movies tend to get sloppy. Comic dialogues are plenty and situational and never get slapstick.
I went an watched Kabul Express again and surprisingly it too had lot of comic situational dialogues. It looked like it Kabir's specialty.
