Review of Eighth Grade (2018) by Nat T — 24 Nov 2018
I've been out of eighth grade for eons, but this film is so achingly real that I felt as though it was speaking to me over the decades. It's beautifully written and acted, most especially by elsie fisher.
She most assuredly deserves an Oscar nomination for her performance. Josh Hamilton also rates special mention for his very appealing performance as her dad. Their conversation at the end of the film is so touching and authentic that I found myself getting quite emotional.
A+ in all regards for this true gem of a movie.
