Great example of a movie I admire in the strongest terms yet never want to see again. They do such an outstanding job of recreating the awkwardness and fear of the 8th grade girl - it is powerfully uncomfortable - but authentic - and then there is this huge payoff which had me bawling for a minute.
But I do not enjoy watching the awkwardness (and remembering my own). It's hard to rate. It feels right to weigh it more on the side of cinematic value than rewatchability so 7.6 out of 10.
