Review of Eight Men Out (1988) by Martin K — 02 Oct 2007
Probably the best sports movie yet made, definitely my favourite. All the more affecting for being based on fact. Contains career-best performances from many of its cast, never more evident than Cusack's speech in the very moving (and much imitated) final scene.
Highly recommended.
