Review of Eight Men Out (1988) by Josh R — 12 Jun 2011
If only to give proper context to Field of Dreams, this film must be watched. It isn't a film that is always easy to follow off-field and could have been fleshed out a bit better on just who the '19 ChiSox were; it isn't a story that makes one feel particularly good about life as there are no happy endings--except Buck's gift to Shoeless just before the credits.
But it's a true story of deep value and uncompromising consequences that should never be forgotten.
