Review of Edmond (2006) by Taryn A — 22 Feb 2007
Not many other actors can pull off the quiet, misunderstood every man with something dark lurking beneath the surface like William H Macy can. I thought this was really good, drags you into the seedy nightlife from the perspective of a naive businessman.
You can tell it was still in play format, it just has that feel to it. I still wasn't quite sure why he did what he did by the end of the film, and the actresses in it are just cameos, they barely leave an imprint in the film.
It was gritty and seedy and dark and uncomfortable and I didn't mind it. Macy is always brilliant.
