This film does what it says in the tin, and delivers it in spades. The heart-warming and occasionally cringeworthy spectacle of seeing Eddie, our hero, struggle his way to the Olympics is nicely paced and achieves the one thing all sport movies must; I cared about t the outcome.
The performances are excellent, but there aren't any surprises here, though the affectionate tone and the earnestness of the portrayal is worth your time if you're after an uplifting experience. 7.
