Review of Eddie the Eagle (2016) by Brent_Marchant — 05 Mar 2016
It's formula feel-good movie material, but extremely well-executed formula feel-good movie material. Taron Egerton delivers a terrific, faithful performance as the unlikely hero of the Calgary Winter Olympics, effectively portraying the infectious enthusiasm of someone whose desire to succeed against the odds outstrips any roadblocks that stand in his way.
The film provides big fun, great cinematography and a wonderfully nostalgic look at the 80s. This one is definitely worth a view for those in need of a potent shot of adrenaline and encouragement.
