Review of Eddie Izzard: Circle (2002) by Rodolfo R — 27 Jun 2010
Friday night I took Mack to the vet for a checkup. He's responding well to the meds, but his heart looked a little big on the XRay, so he may have heart disease. How can we tell for sure? An ultrasound. $250. I went home and watched Dress to Kill. Eddie Izzard is fucking hilarious.
Saturday. Got stood up by cute guy with the tattoos. Bastard. So I went shopping. I ran into a couple of guys I met at Paul's and whaddya know, they're show queens. We got into a big conversation on the state of musical theater and for fifteen whole minutes, I was smarter than someone. I got home and Kyle left a message cancelling our movie plans for Sunday. She had a good reason though so whatever. I went home and watched Circle. Eddie Izzard is still fucking hilarious. Watched The Asphalt Jungle. Outstanding - full review possibly to come.
Sunday I saw Notorious without Kyle. I'll cover that if I ever finish the Cary Grant centennial series. I didn't enjoy it as much as I should have. I was grumpy. I got home and called mummy. There is no possible way to get Mack to my parents' house this weekend. Instead of staying there for 3 days, I'm staying overnight. I worked on the Rev's birthday mix, listened to Joni Mitchell, did some housework, watched The Simpsons, Arrested Development and Desparate Housewives, took some sleeping pills and some Xanax and went to bed.
The sun will rise and the moon will set and you learn how to settle for what you get. It'll all go on if we're here or not, so who cares? So what?
That's from Cabaret. It was not used in the film.
