Review of Ed Wood (1994) by Senor C — 23 Oct 2010
By far my favorite Tim Burton movie (Johnny Deep movie too for that matter) & probably the best bio-flix Ive seen. It's definitely the funniest & most fun bringing a new found respect for 'the worst director of all time'.
A great supporting cast in Bill Murray, Jeffery Jones, George 'the Animal' Steel & Martin Landau (who deservedly won an Oscar for his portrayal of horror legend Bela Lugosi). In fact the entire is cast is top notch.
Bombing @ the show when it initially came out I & think that's for a number of reasons - it was in black & white & today's mass audience doesn't give two shits about a hack director from the 50s who used to wear womens clothing.
It's too bad because it is a real gem & a great homage to the love of film making.
