Review of Ed Wood (1994) by Chris J — 04 Oct 2010
Depp plays the real life transvestite filmmaker who never made a quality picture in his life but he did make some truly memorable work that almost invented the term "cult film" . Funny, earnest, moving well cast tribute to the King of bad cinema features a particularly great Oscar winning turn by Landau as Bela Lugosi.
Bela had come a long way from his initial success as Dracula, ending up bankrupt and addicted to morphine.
