Review of Ed Wood (1994) by Errol T — 06 Dec 2010
When I went into this film, I didnt know what to expect. when I came out.... WHAT THE SKYDIVING JUDI DENCH?! Yes, that is my reaction to this quirky, bizarre comedy about Hollywood's most infamous director.
Burton and Depp were the only ones who could have pulled this off, but even then, they do it just so. it starts off attractive, and remains fairly fun throughout, but there were a couple moments that caught me wanting another window for Facebook while the dead spot in the movie passes by.
In the end, though, aside from its unusual oddity and uneven pace, "Ed Wood" is oddly charming, oddly ambitious, and oddly... odd.
