Review of Ed Wood (1994) by Nigel M — 28 Nov 2011
A masterpiece of a movie, perfectly pitched between laughs and tenderness. Burton makes a movie that loves a man who loves movies, even if he makes lousy ones. Martin Landau is the emotional core of everything in a haunted performance as Bela Lugosi.
His Oscar was well-deserved. That the rest of the movie was overlooked is a shame.
