I remembered that I enjoyed ED WOOD in the theatre, but I had forgotten just how much until I finally bought the DVD. Martin Landau's performance as Bela Lugosi is heartbreaking and nothing less than extraordinary.
I always enjoy projects by Tim Burton and Johnny Depp, together or separately. This one is a movingly sincere picture of the determination and devotion of a well meaning, kindhearted, slightly odd and deeply untalented man.
Perhaps the man Tim Burton - or Johnny Depp - might have been without the spark of genius within their off-beat view of the world?
