Review of Eaten Alive (1976) by Glenn C — 23 Feb 2013
For poor old Tobe Hopper trying to follow up after the success of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre its a hard act to follow(Think of John Carpenter after the success of Halloween and then doing...The Fog.) It's hard to decide if this is a really bad movie or a misunderstood one.
Chewing the scenery is Neville Brand who owns the Starlight Hotel a dump of a hotel with a main attraction: his crocodile. Like the Roach Motel: Those who check in do not check out. While it does have an atomsphere to it and it has moments, the script is so uneven and the characters are annoying.
look for future Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Kyle Richards(constantly screaming now screams at other housewives now.) and Freddy Kruger(Robert Englund) Seriously was let down by this one.
