Review of Eat Pray Love (2010) by Liz K — 21 May 2012
I so wanted to like this movie, and still suspect I'll probably enjoy the book whenever I get around to it... but I didnt feel like they established any reason for me to care about the character one way or another before she went off on her spiritual awakening adventure.
it was just "care about her because she's Julia Roberts, and eveybody has to like Julia Roberts"... the guy she ended up with lacked charisma and I wasnt sold on the romance. I think the only part of this movie that spoke to me was the muffin top discussion.
