Ang Lee's best film that I've seen so far. First, I love food - and the opening scene will make you drool. Second, I love how the movie is simply crafted - no elaborate cinematography or camera tricks.
The story itself will keep you at the edge of your seats. Yup, don't let this unassuming movie fool you. There is some crazy twist at every turn. In one scene, I literally gasped. Great watch. Ang Lee masterfully shows how the seemingly common realities of passion, hatred, love, envy, etc are ever so dynamic.
