Review of Eat Drink Man Woman (1994) by Cigdem S — 20 Feb 2009
If only for the food prep scenes, this is a classic foodie movie. The story lines, the relationships, the tribulations were somewhat predictable. Having said that, in the league of food movies, (Big Night, Like Water for Chocolate, Babette's Feast), this was a beautiful representation of the role that meal preparation plays in familial relations.
There are many fabulous characters that create the textured fabric of this story (corduroy vs satin - if you catch my drift...).
