BBC documentary about how the young filmmakers took over Hollywood in the late 60's and 70's and created a new way of making movies. Coppola, Spielberg, Scorsese, lucas, Altman, etc. took the town by storm and nothing was ever the same again in Tinseltown.
In the process the summer blockbuster was born (first with Jaws and then ultimately with Star Wars) and that signalled an end of an era of the director as studios took over the business (and made it a business) again.
A must for all the film fans. It's interesting that amongst all the sex and drugs they still made classic "alternative" movies which still stand the test of time.
