Review of Easy Rider (1969) by Ross K — 12 May 2015
Captures notions of personal freedom in the 60's American counter-culture. Talk about an acid "trip." It's a chopper travelogue unlike typical outlaw biker gang genre. An historical snapshot of the hippie movement.
When it manages not to dwell on doing drugs there are picturesque scenes with one of the most enduring soundtracks ever. "They'll talk to ya and talk to ya and talk to ya about individual freedom.
But they see a free individual, it's gonna scare 'em.".
