Review of Easy Rider (1969) by Lucy D — 10 Aug 2010
"I mean it's real hard to be free when you are bought and sold in the market place".
It's difficult to extract the real point of this film... they ride on their bikes, they stop, take drugs, they ride on their bikes, they stop, take drugs, they...... Yet it's compelling enough to watch with a lot of enjoyment. It's got a great soundtrack, well-acted, dialogue which touches upon slight philosophical thinking. A prestigious film for early Hollywood cinema and a bit of a classic. Jack Nicholson is sublime.
