Review of Easy Rider (1969) by Chris B — 30 Jan 2012
Although I really like it the first time I saw it, I realized the second time that the only thing I really liked about it was how well it captured that era. The acting, though naturalistic, seemed rather flat, and my favorite character was Jack Nicholson's character as opposed to Dennis Hopper and Peter Fonda.
The ending was another thing that I liked about it. Similar to Gimme Shelter, it showed the end of the hippie movement in just a short amount of time. Overall, it's an alright movie. Definitely more of a piece of cinema history than a really good movie.
I still recommend it. This is after all, my opinion.
