Review of Easy A (2010) by Randomdude — 05 Jun 2011
Finally a fun teen flik!
This movie rises above it's peers, by a an order of magnitude. Solid performances, bright, snappy dialog, without being self-important/engrossed... just good fun -- big win.
To be honest among all movies, I'd rate it a 6(which is saying quite a bit, as teen fliks are usually 2-4), but for it's genre, a 10+ easy.
Amanda Bynes owes her role as an 'i don't give a fu@%' young woman in high school, who really can't help but caring what others think--That softness gives the movie it's life.
No plot give-aways here, just watch it for yourself. It offers solid performances all around with some amazing lines (My fav: If there's one thing worse than chlamydia, It's Florida) in a well paced stream of fun.
Will it change your life, NOPE.
Will it make you laugh, BIG YES for me.
